Oh, it is love; from the first time I set my eyes upon yours; thinking Oh, is it love?

So, after taking well over a year off from blogging (for no good reason...) I thought it was about time I start attempting to update again. Lots of things have happened since my last post, but there is no way I am going to try and play catch up! The most important thing that has happened has been welcoming Brennan to our family. Our little man (well, he's little compared to the rest of us...) was born July 18th and weighed in at 10 pounds 1 ounce. Kinda huge! I was grateful that I was a repeat c-section. Brennan has been such a great addition to our family. Savannah really seems to love him and he's such a great little guy.

He does have a few issues, one being that he has been diagnosed with sagittal synotosis. It means that two of the plates his his skull fused together before birth. The plates that fused together for him are the ones that run from his forehead to the back of his head. So he will have surgery in the next 3ish weeks to unfuse the plates. It's very overwhelming and it's all happened really fast, but I'm so grateful our pediatrician caught it when she did and she referred us to a fantastic neurologist. The minute we met him I felt a peaceful feeling about the situation and felt like everything was going to be ok (don't worry, I still have plenty of panic and freak out moments!) I will keep the blog updated with the process and recovery for sure.

He is otherwise quite healthy (he's about 13 pounds already - the kid eats a lot!) and is a sweet little snuggler. It's been a very different experience with him than it was with Savannah, and in some ways I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing all over again! But he's being patient with me, and with his big sister.

Savannah is about 2.5 now and just a ball of personality and energy. I love it!  She definitely has a stubborn streak in her that gets her in trouble, but she is trying to learn to keep it in check and to be a good listener. She makes me laugh, makes me frustrated and makes me love her more every day! The girl is constantly on the move and telling me about everything she's doing while she's doing it :)

I will do separate posts for each of them over the next week to give more details on how they are doing and what they are up to!

Things are overall good (we still have crazy stressful times and times when I have no idea how I'm going to make it to the end of the day) but that's ok. I love those two little monkeys and am so grateful they are ours!

Thanks to my wonderful and talented friend Erin, we have some beautiful family pictures!

Your children are SO sweet, Ashley! I have missed your blog although I know how hard it is to keep it going...I have kind of slacked off too - there's just no time! Good luck with the surgery!

I love your post! The pictures turned out awesome! The surgery definitely sounds scary; we will be praying for Brennan and the doctor.
